Madalena Fernandes
Consultant
From an early age, societal problems, such as pollution or social inequality, aroused Madalena’s interest. In this way she engaged in various volunteer activities in her spare time to be able to experience other realities to know, real life cases and feel that it somehow impacted not only the lives of these people, but that contributed to a fairer society. At the end of finishing her degree, she missed dedicating herself to a project with impact and that was not just volunteering. Thus, she joined a social entrepreneurship program for 4 months to be able to bring a robust project to São Tomé and Príncipe. She developed the master’s thesis on the value capture that companies acquire through a solid CSR structure and at the end of the master’s degree went to explore Asia for a month and a half where she could know different cultures, always looking for a link to social responsibility or sustainability. Developed projects in the area of CSR in the Nabeiro Group and worked in a startup with social impact. After social innovation and sustainability, she loves photography.
At Sair da Casca, she integrates community practice, works several projects, from strategic philanthropy to investment with impact.
Graduated in Management and Industrial Engineering, from ISCTE and Master in Strategy and Entrepreneurship, Catholic School for Lisbon.
